Missionary Scott Wood
Christ for the Nations
Fort Worth, Texas
Scott Wood comes from a family who choose to follow God at all costs. His parents got saved then God called them to Christ for the Nations. Following his parent’s decision, God then called Scott’s sisters and other family members. He then called Scott. Scott talks to the Bride about his experience in France. It’s an amazing story!
About Scott Wood:
Bible Teacher, Trainer, Intercessor
Scott Wood has been serving as an apostolic leader in full-time ministry for 29 years. He empowers believers for spiritual breakthroughs in their communities through strategic prayer, and equips them to reach out within their spheres of influence.
Scott knew at age 12 that God had called him to ministry. He felt an undeniable call to France at the age of 16, attending both college and Bible school to become fully equipped for God’s calling. While serving as a church planter in Paris, France, one of the hardest fields in the world, the Lord began to teach him how to effectively pray for effective spiritual breakthroughs in France. He saw miraculous signs as people were brought into the Kingdom of God. After six years in France, four churches were planted – French, Dutch, Philipinno, and Algerian. Other churches have been planted since! The Lord then directed Scott back to the states to develop the missionary training school at Christ for the Nations Institute in Dallas, Texas, serving as full-time Faculty and Missions Director. It was there, in 1995, that he met and married his wife, Katy. In 2000, Scott and Katy felt led to start worldview Mission Training to meet the need of the burgeoning missions movement happening across the globe. Countries previously considered “mission fields,” are now sending missionaries. This includes places like China, Indonesia, Africa and Brazil.
Since then, Scott and Katy have partnered with churches and ministries across the globe to develop missionary training schools in the United States and abroad. More currently, they’ve refocused their primary efforts back to France, where they helped develop a pastoral training school. They also serve as a catalyst for a movement of Houses of Prayer, the foundation for seeing revival in France. To date, 30 plus Houses of Prayer have been birthed.
Scott also serves as the National Coordinator for the Pray For France initiative, anannual, international effort to mobilize the body of Christ worldwide to pray for revival in France. To date, hundreds of thousands of people have joined.Scott studied Mass Communications at Midland College, theology from Word of Faith Bible School and Christ for the Nations Institute, and Theology / missiology from Regent University. He and Katy have two children, Christopher (16) and Julia (14).
At the core of it all, Scott’s passion is to see the church worldwide rise up and experience breakthroughs through strategic prayer, so that they can make disciples of the nations to bring glory to the King.
